During this last trimester of the 2023 – 2024 school year, all partners have put into practice a very important phase of the project. All the work done so far (research, training, design of activities…) has been materialised in the implementation of our methodology with teenagers in different school contexts.
This experience has helped to improve the design of the “Addict to you Methodology”, an innovative methodology that seeks to empower students and provide them with resources to prevent addictive behaviours (specifically, to prevent social media addiction, videogames or gaming addiction, gambling addiction, as well as cyberaddiction), through different workshops that have been carried out over several sessions with the adolescents.
Likewise, the different professionals in the educational field have obtained more tools to work in different contexts with adolescents, making adaptations and achieving that the designed methodology improves and focuses on groups with fewer opportunities. This phase will lead to improve the quality of the methodology, making it more accessible and more adaptable.
It should be noted that this test phase is a fundamental axis of other results of the project and has been a milestone in the same; in particular, the continuity of this phase will be reflected in the youth exchange (one of the aforementioned result), which will take place in Spain and where the adolescents involved, who will be the future school ambassadors, will be given a protagonist and leading role.
